—about the shed

A shed for

every
man in Deni

Since 2008, the Deniliquin Men's Shed has been a gathering place for local blokes - retired, semi-retired, working, or just looking for something to do. A place where you don't need to have a plan, you just need to show up.

"Men don't talk face to face - they talk shoulder to shoulder."

We're the only Men's Shed in Deniliquin, and we're proud of it. We meet twice a week, work with our hands, swap stories, share skills, and quietly look out for each other. Some of our blokes have been coming since the beginning. Others walked in last month and haven't left.

Whether you're a tradesman with decades of knowledge to pass on, or someone who's never picked up a chisel in your life - you'll find your place here.

OUR PURPOSE

Connection, purpose, and a safe place to just be yourself — it matters more than most people realise.

All Welcome

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Skilled or not, young or retired- just come along and see what's on.

GOOD COMPANY

HANDS AT WORK

—WHAT WE DO

Make. Mend.
Teach. Learn.

You'll find blokes doing everything from welding and woodworking to computing and restoring furniture. Whatever you enjoy or whatever you want to learn, there's room for it here.

WOODWORKING

From small repairs to full furniture builds — our shed is equipped and our blokes are generous with their knowledge. If you want to learn, someone here will show you.

Metalwork & Welding

We've got the tools and the know-how. Whether it's fixing something broken or building something new, there's always a project on the go.

Furniture Restoration

Good furniture deserves a second life. We take donated pieces, fix them up, and pass them on to people in the community at reduced cost — a bit like a working op shop.

COMPUTING

Computers don't have to be a mystery. We help members get comfortable with technology — whether you want to email the grandkids or just learn the basics.

COMMUNITY GIVING

We donate to the Royal Children's Hospital Appeal, Can Assist, Fight against MND as well as local community groups. The Shed is about more than what's inside its walls — it's about the town we all call home.

GOOD COMPANY

Sometimes the most important thing we make here is time for each other. The kettle's always on. The conversation's always easy. Just come along and see for yourself.

SPECIAL PROGRAM

Boys to Men's Shed

Every Tuesday afternoon, local high school students come to the Shed to work alongside our members — learning trades, building confidence, and seeing what it looks like when men take care of each other and their community. It might be the most important thing we do.

"

Just come along, take in what others are doing, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
